How to Make TikTok Captions in After Effects

TikTok, Reels, and Shorts need captions that read without sound. Here is how to build them in After Effects - manually or with AI - so they look intentional, not auto-generated.

Why After Effects for TikTok captions?

Platform auto-captions are fine for drafts. They fall short when you need brand fonts, karaoke highlights, or captions that survive a client round of copy edits. If your master already lives in After Effects, finishing captions there keeps typography and motion in one timeline.
